The right au pair for the right Family

Au pairs from "not-red" countries can now enter Denmark

 Date: 20.04.21

From 21 April 2021 new rules apply, meaning that all countries will be divided into the color categories yellow, orange or red in relation to entry into Denmark.

After this point, entry into Denmark can be granted to au pairs entering from countries in the yellow and orange categories and who have been granted an au pair-permit or right to residence under the Danish Aliens Act.

Under the new rules, it will generally be impossible to enter Denmark from a country in the red category, that is a country which the health authorities believe pose a particular Covid-19 risk.

The new rules apply to all foreign nationals outside Denmark who are not a legal resident of Denmark, and who have been granted an  au pair-permit or right to residence under the Danish Aliens Act or related regulations.

A list of the red countries can be found in the regulation.

The regulation is valid until 19 May 2021
