The right au pair for the right Family

From February 3, 2021 SIRI has stopped issuing au pair-permits

 Date: 03.02.21

It has been decided by the Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration that residence permit application for au pairs will not be granted by SIRI by from 3rd of February 2021. The new regulation is in line with the tightened travel restrictions introduced on 9th January 2021.

This means that pending applications and applications sent from the 3rd of February will be rejected or set aside.

If your application is turned down as a result of these restrictions, the case processing fee (which host family have paid to SIRI) will be refunded, but the Embassy / Visa Center fee might not be refunded.

This is seen as a step required in order to limit the introduction of new and as yet unknown variants of the virus. This temporary executive order from the Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration is set to expire on the 1st of March 2021, but can be extended depending on whether the current entry restrictions will be extended.

We recommend all our applicants to postpone handing applications until a new decision is made.
