The rates for the fees for applying for a residence permit are adjusted annually on January 1st
The case-id fee is reduced from 4,740 DKK to 4,210 DKK from January 1, 2025.
The one-time fee for the Danish course, which is paid to the Agency for International Recruitment and Integration, is increased from 19,305 DKK (2024 level) to 20,000 DKK (2025 level). If an au pair wishes to change host families, the new family does not need to pay for the au pair's Danish lessons.
If you invite an EU citizen as an au pair, you do not need to pay the fee for Danish lessons. The number of interested applicants among EU citizens is very limited, but we would be happy to assist your family in finding an au pair from the EU if that is your wish.

Au pairs who submit their application after January 1, 2025, must receive a minimum of 5,000 DKK in pocket money per month.
